TCN Afen Vending cheated us
In June 2014, we contacted A-Fen via Alibaba with an inquiry for a customized vending machine.
This was when the problems started. Terms which were discussed and agreed upon (in this case, the integration of a payment card software) were suddenly forgotten, with our salesperson insisting we were in the wrong. We tried to resolve this issue but was faced with zero understanding.
They proceeded to delay our machines consistently, until finally we were informed the machines were ready, 42 days overdue (4th May 2015)
We inspected the goods and dealt with multiple problems, including slow and inconsistent mechanical operations. Suffice to say this factory isn't known for its quality.

This blog shares our experience of being cheated by the company known as TCN of A-Fen (both are the same) Vending machines manufacturer, based in Changsha Hunan. We hope to act as a warning to other people looking to buy vending machines from this company in China.

In June 2014, we contacted A-Fen via Alibaba with an inquiry for a customized vending machine.
In Jan 2015 we visited their factory and confirmed an order for 2 vending machines. Payment was made mid jan and delivery terms was 60 days from date of payment (17th March 2015)
This was when the problems started. Terms which were discussed and agreed upon (in this case, the integration of a payment card software) were suddenly forgotten, with our salesperson insisting we were in the wrong. We tried to resolve this issue but was faced with zero understanding.
They proceeded to delay our machines consistently, until finally we were informed the machines were ready, 42 days overdue (4th May 2015)
We inspected the goods and dealt with multiple problems, including slow and inconsistent mechanical operations. Suffice to say this factory isn't known for its quality.
Nonetheless we arranged for a pickup of our goods on the 8th of May.
This was when things got crazy.
On 8th May, our logistics company collected the goods from their factory.
But the goods never arrived to us. It turns out AFen/TCN sent their own truck to the logistics company where our goods were stored, and forcefully and illegally took back the goods from us.
At this point, they had stolen our goods after we had already gotten an external logistics partner to collect it, and they still had our money.
It turns out that TCN had been accused of patent infringement, and the machine that they had sold us was a copy of a competitors' technology.
The boss called us and basically told us he was going to refund our money. A week passes and we hear no news.
Suddenly we get a message: We will only refund 50% because you have to cover our cost of production.

The boss called us and basically told us he was going to refund our money. A week passes and we hear no news.
Suddenly we get a message: We will only refund 50% because you have to cover our cost of production.

I have had exactly the same experience, delays in manufacture, delays in shipment and still 4 months on the vending machines do not work

ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear this,but i'll share my experiences to you,i already visit their factory,has a large factory,many kinds of vending machines, and the sales manager very nice,now i already buy some machines,the machine use well and the after-sale engineer will solve problems as soon as possible. If anyone can't believe me,maybe you can visit their company.
